One of my own favorite outputs from FAWM 2013. Most of my songs are acoustic, but my roommate brought an amp into the apartment recently and I couldn't resist plugging in my uke and messing around with it. Yes, that sound is a ukulele.
This song also carries the distinction for my most unexpected chord change - as in I don't know why my hands suddenly decided to play a AbM7 chord in a song that's generally in C, but then I liked it.
lyrics
Cold street light carries me
Home past closed windows
That dream while sun-filled eyes
Look up and imagine stars
Pavements long
For the warmth of feet
They need my dreams
To fill these empty streets
No matter how long I wait
This day won't die
Until I close my eyes
